Mr. Marco Vinicio Guillen, age 40, of Acworth died Sunday, May 3, 2015, after battling Lou Gehrig’s Disease since 2011. Mr. Guillen passed away at home in his bed. Visitation will start at 1 on Saturday, May 9th, with a service following at 3pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw. Rev. Cathy Payne Anderson will officiate. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the ALS Association.
Mr. Guillen was born in Quito, Ecuador and came to the United States at the age of 20. Being a hardworking entrepreneur, Mr. Guillen worked as a manager for Publix supermarkets, started his own business, Fun Jump 2 Go, and bought and sold cars. Mr. Guillen enjoyed hosting get-togethers with family and friends, vacationing in Florida, and movies. Mr. Guillen was a patriot and became a United States citizen.
Mr. Guillen was a devoted husband to Jennifer Wofford Guillen and proud father of Madeliene and Christian Guillen. Mr. Guillen was the loyal son of Marco V. Guillen Sr., of Ecuador, and Tirzah Munoz of Acworth. Mr. Guillen was the loving brother to Geovanna Guillen, Stephanny Guillen, Andre Guillen, Wendy Reinoso, and Ismael Guillen. Mr. Guillen leaves behind many friends and family who loved him dearly.
