Mariann Korach

Mariann Louise Korach of Kennesaw, GA passed away peacefully on April 29, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones, at the age of 85. She was born on July 28, 1939, in Roscoe, Pennsylvania to Andrew and Susan Bury. Mariann earned a diploma at Penn Commercial College in 1958. Up to her passing, she was working with her daughter at Metro Wheels. On February 17, 1959, Mariann married Dan Korach. The two of them built a beautiful life with their two children, Valerie Ann and Jeffrey Scott, that took them to Ohio, South Carolina, South Africa, Illinois and Georgia.

Mariann was a devoted wife of 65 years, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was known to be incredibly lucky and enjoyed going to the horse races and playing Bingo. Once Dan retired, they enjoyed driving together across many parts of the US to spend time with family and visit their favorite places. She never missed recognizing family birthdays, holidays and anniversaries with handwritten cards. She made sure that everyone, including the family dogs (Maggie, Atlas and Dottie), were spoiled with tasty treats. Her signature meals and famous nut rolls have been passed down to her children and grandchildren. Her focus was always on others and making sure that everyone was taken care of. She was a devoted Catholic and rarely missed a Saturday evening service.

Mariann is preceded in death by her parents, Andrew Bury and Suzanne Koleck Bury.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Dan Korach; children, Valerie (Tim) Gowens and Jeff (Susan) Korach; grandchildren, Whitney (Scott) Adams, Jillian (Jared) Wade, Abigail Gowens, Brock Gowens; and great grandchildren, Asher Adams, Ellie Adams, and Sienna Wade.

Services will be held at Saint Catherine of Siena Catholic Church (1618 Ben King Rd, Kennesaw)- June 14th, 2025, at 10:30am. Receiving of friends to follow at Pinetree Country Club. Lunch will be served.
