Mrs. Mary Kimberly Altman of Marietta passed away February 19, 2014. She was a substitute teacher at Sprayberry High School for 20 years. She was a pink lady and a volunteer for the American Red Cross and was very active with the ladies ministry at St. Paul United Methodist church in Marietta.
Mrs. Altman was preceded in death by her parents , Wilmer and Caroline Kimberly, Sr., her husband, Homer Lamar Altman, and her brother, Wilmer Kimberly, Jr.
Survived by her daughters, Marla Johanson, Donna Brown; sisters, Caroline Brooks, Anne Franklin, Jimmie Crossley; 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday Feb. 24 at 1 PM at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 244 Kurtz Road, Marietta, GA 30066, with Rev. Chandler Brown and Rev. Mark Nugent officiating. Interment will follow at The Westview Cemetery in Atlanta. The family will receive friends between the hours of 3 until 5 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
