Maryann Augustine Sullivan of Acworth took her last earthly breath in the early morning on Tuesday July 10, 2018 and passed peacefully into the arms of her heavenly father, she was 91. Maryann was born to Soonie and John Bird Rogers on August 8, 1926.
She lived a life devoted to her Savior, Jesus Christ, and never missed an opportunity to share His love with others. She was a dedicated mother, a supportive sister, a loving grandmother, a treasured great grandmother and the ultimate prayer warrior. She had a servant’s heart for ministry, which was evident as she worked as a registered nurse and also served as an evangelical preacher for many years of her life. She leaves behind a rich legacy and heritage and is adored by all who knew her. She will be dearly missed, but we rest in knowing that she has received her ultimate prize of eternity with Jesus and we wait for that day when we will see her again.
Along with her parents, Maryann is preceded in passing by several siblings and extended family.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Vickie and Gary Leeman of Acworth, GA, her four grandchildren and son-in-laws, Sarah Lumpkin (Nick), Kristen Johnson (Seth), Catherine Law (John) and Eric Leeman; four great grandchildren, Britton, Garon, Annalee and Millie; brothers, James Davis Rogers and Charles Lindberg (Imogene) and countless family and friends.
A funeral service to honor the life of Ms. Maryann Sullivan will be held at five o’clock in the evening on Thursday, July 12, 2018 in the Chapel of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home with Dr. Joe Edwards and Dr. Jacob King officiating. Entombment will follow in the Pine Ridge Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from three o’clock in the afternoon until the service hour on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at the funeral home.
