Melinda Roshak

Melinda Roshak, 50, of Acworth, passed away Friday, December 27, 2013. Funeral is Friday, January 3, 2pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home with Pastor Lamar Allen officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty Hill Cemetery in Acworth.

Raised in Acworth, Melinda graduated from North Cobb High School in 1981. She was employed as an Administrative Assistant with Fontis Water and a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church. Melinda loved sports and could be found every Friday night during football season cheering on the Warriors. Then on Saturday’s in the fall her beloved Florida State Seminole’s had her full support. Even though her enthusiasm for sports was high, nothing compared to the loved she held for family and friends. Melinda was a loving wife, mother, and daughter who supported Chuck, BreAnn, and Tanner in all there endeavors but the title she cherish the most was, “Granmia.”

Melinda is survived by her husband Chuck Roshak of Acworth, son Tanner Roshak of Acworth, daughter BreAnn (Chris) Shepherd of Dallas, granddaughters Piper Shepherd and Marlie Shepherd, parents Bill and Betty Gravitt of Acworth, and sister Brenda (Scott) Banks of Kennesaw. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and a great host of friends.

The family is receiving friends on Thursday, January 2 at the funeral home from 2-4pm and 6-9pm.
