
Michael Billie Brown, age 62, passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 22, 2023, due to natural causes. Michael was born in Homburg/Saar, Germany in 1961. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Billie J Brown, and Renate A Brown. He was a loving son, brother, and friend.
He is survived by his sister, Christina Brown-Asakawa, his brother-in-law, Hirohiko Asakawa, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. His sister considered him the “Best Brother Ever”.
Michael was a 1979 honors graduate of Wheeler High School in Marietta, Ga. He was also a 1983 honors graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and a 1984 honors graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology with a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, completing his Master’s degree in 9 months.
Michael was employed in the Defense industry at Dynetics, Xontech, and Scientific Research Corporation as a Senior Project Engineer in Huntsville, Alabama.
Michael retired from Scientific Research Corporation in August 2014. He spent much of his free time caring for this mother until her passing in 2022. Much of his other spare time was spent on the family farm in McRae, Georgia. He loved being at his farm cutting grass on his Ford tractor. Michael also enjoyed his extensive collection of old and antique automobiles. He was especially proud of his 1960 Chevrolet Impala, his 1973 Chevrolet Camaro, and his 1989 Chevrolet IROC Camaro.
Michael was a tinkerer and could fix anything that needed repair. He also enjoyed 1950’s and 60’s music. He was also a collector of DVD’s, vinyl records, and Hot Wheels cars.
Michael will be cremated at WInkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home.
A graveside service for Michael will be determined at a future date.
