When I met Captain Mike at camp dream when I was a camper he always blew his whistle and did the rise n shine every morning (I think around 7am) and I would always help him out and one he gave me my own whistle and I became his whistle blower

As close as I can figure, Mike and I were buddies for 63 years, camping, fishing, hunting and gardeners along with helping solve each other’s problems of living. Being 17 years his senior, he became the“little” brother I never had.

For the memories of pure love and delight in each other, I thank God.
As each day passes I realize just how much he will be missed.

Mike was such a special person to so many.  The way he truly cared for others & his great sense of humor were two of his many wonderful qualities.  What a beautiful Tribute Movie that was put together for him.  Such a true example of a life well lived.  Sending prayers to his family that he loved so much!

I met Mike when I was District Director for the Jaycee Woman. He made my plaques up until I was Region 4 Director in the Georgia Jaycee Organization.
Mike was always there to lend a helping hand for any chapter throughout the Ga Organization.  He was a dedicated father and grandfather. I'm sad for Mike's passing but thankful he is now pain free. I will be praying for peace and understanding 
for his family.

Mike once gave me a very fine statement when he signed our high school annual.
He wrote: " To Bob: The best friend that I could ever have."

The year was 1967.
But I can never forget what Mike wrote about me.
And I will NEVER forget about this.

May he rest in peace.
And may light perpetual shine upon him.

I had the pleasure of knowing Mike in the Georgia Jaycees when I was President of the Macon Jaycees in 1982-83. He was a great leader and motivator and a perfect example of the principles in the Jaycee creed. Mike never met a stranger and new acquaintances always became friends. I am proud to call Mike my friend and look forward to seeing him again in heaven!

Dear Mike Ringel was a joy to know, with whom to be friends.  We shared hi school years,  enjoying many great memories.   Sure, Mike was born a handsome soul.  Yet, it was his gentlemanly kindness, his love of family & service to community, that made him so special.  He was taught & believed in those specialties, and lived them with his whole heart.
His many friends & colleagues adored him, as he did in return.   His love for family always obvious.  He had incredible, enduring courage.  May he rest in comfort now, knowing he was loved, returning it all, thru a life well lived.

Mike was our neighbor when I was a kid. My sisters and I grew up playing with Aimee and Amanda who were also present when I  had a bad accident in the neighborhood.  Mike was one of the donors who selflessly  gave blood for my transfusion. My family and I  will always be thankful for that. I have many other memories that include Mike, but that one is at the top!

The year Mike served as US JCI Region IV National Vice President, he was asked to chose a charity to support at his spring meeting.  His choice was the Grand Strand Golden Retriever Rescue, a local rescue group.  His decision to support a local charity that mainly depended on donations showed his true character.  To Mike, it was all about helping each other out.  We always had a good chuckle about attending the same high school - about 5 years apart!  He will be missed by so many.  Prayers for comfort and acceptance to his family and for all who mourn his passing.

Oh, wow. How do you start. There's so many memories that come to mind. First off, Mike Loved his girls, Aimee and Amanda, more than anything in the world. His family was everything, we will be sending up prayers for all of you. 
Mike Loved helping others. He worked tirelessly on Jaycee projects, community projects. He was Captin Mike for hundreds of kids at Camp Dream for years. He was a great friend for over 30 yrs to Richard and myself. I know you had a great receiving party when you used your Angel Wings for the first time. I know JR was there to greet you and show you around. 
Enjoy some special banana pudding, taco soup, chocolate cake, black licorice, coconut shrimp and all sorts of delightful things. We will miss you more than you will ever know. Love you always. Rich "Fishstick"and Gail

Steve and I both were Jaycees with Mike. He made a lot of plaques for Steve while Steve was active. We send our deepest condolences and prayers. We will miss Mike.

I have known Mike for many years and always respected his service and his dedication to the Jaycees. He was s friend and will be missed.

Mike was good friend of me and Scott for over 40 years. Always had fun with him.  We will miss our lunch dates with him and our special group.  He and jr are looking down on us  and remembering all the good times we all had. Miss you our friend
