Nona Yancey Cash

Nona Cash, or as she is affectionately called “Peaches” —a woman of profound faith, unwavering love, and unparalleled strength passed away on June 18, 2024. She was a beloved mother and wife of 61 years, but also a spiritual leader whose light touched countless lives. Her love knew no bounds, whose kindness touched everyone she met, and whose faith guided her every step. Born in 1940 in Winston County, Alabama. Peaches’ childhood was not easy, but she embraced the values hard work, was deeply dedicated to her family, and had an unwavering love for the Lord. Her commitment to serving others shaped her into the extraordinary woman, a true reflection of a Proverbs 31 women, whom we all admired.

Nona’s faith was the cornerstone of her life. She found strength in the study of the Torah. Over the years, she led many bible studies, prayer meetings and conferences -- sharing generously with others. Her devotion to biblical learning. prayer, and service was an inspiration to all who knew her. As the spiritual leader of Beth HaShomer Prayer Ministry, she embodied the virtues she preached—compassion, forgiveness, and humility. Her teachings were more than words; they were a true reflection of her profound understanding of faith and her genuine desire to uplift and inspire. To us, Peaches was not only a wife but also a pillar of strength that sustained our family through every joy and every challenge. Her nurturing spirit and gentle guidance helped mold us into the people we are today. She cherished every moment with us, from bedtime stories to comforting hugs, teaching us the importance of kindness, empathy, and resilience. It was an honor to be her family.
