Oscar George Washam, age 78, of Austell, Georgia passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2023. He was a loving and devoted husband to his wife Judy as well as a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. George enjoyed travel, hunting, fishing and sports, but most of all he enjoyed being with his family. He was a member of Austell Christian Church, he will be loved and missed by all that knew him.
George is survived by his wife of 51 years, Judy Washam; daughters, Sherri Cox (Allen), Lori Burton, Erin Hill (Mitch); son Jacob Washam (Rebecca); sister, Frances Chambers; brother, Eugene Washam,15 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
George was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Washam and Lorraine Keller Washam; sister, Earlene Carr.
A graveside celebration of life for George will be held Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Pine Ridge Memorial Park, 2950 Cobb Parkway North, Kennesaw, Georgia 31052.
