6 years after everything happened and it is still as fresh as yesterday. I really need your advice and help a lot. I feel as though everyone else wants to move past this as if it were just one event. I think knowing the person so intimately really keeps you from ever getting to that point. Its like one day you have such a great confidante by your side and then poof nothing and youre supposed to just use the void and move past the event as if it were nothing. I think people realize when stuff like this happens to them that it takes a long time to even get to a normal level again like several decades. Just to be able to trust anyone or believe in hope is so tough. I fortunately have someone who is keeping my compass pointed the right way for without them I would've been lost so long ago. I just keep reminding myself that so many people even famous people have had this happen to them. It is scary to me that those kids didn't survive long. A few examples: Elvis, Whitney Houstons daughter, Carrie fisher recently. I just hope that I can keep my hope alive because I am struggling to do just that.  I need you to tell me that everything is gong to be alright. I need you to make everything alright. I need you to tell me you believe me in like you used to and I could do anything I could set my mind to because I am just so unsure anymore..I wish I could also fix any pain you had felt also and make you all better also...I hope god is taking good care of you...

Happy birthday, mommy. 49 years. I love you and miss you more than ever.

Though I never actually got to meet you, getting to know your son has made me realize how lucky he was to have you as a mom and how lucky everyone was to have you in their lives. Shaun misses you so much and it hurts so bad to watch him feel pain such as this. But I know you'll always be watching him and your love and memory will always be there for him. It would have been an honor getting to meet you and know you. From how Shaun talks about you we would have gotten along so well.

Oleana was a sweet girl and I was lucky to have her as a classmate.  My sympathies to the family.

I miss my mommy so very much it hurts to think there won't be another day I get to wake up and hear her gentle voice or her angelic smile. I took care of her as best as I could and I did everything I believe I could do to let her know everything she did for us didn't go unnoticed. I feel soo blessed and lucky to have had out of all the people, you as my mom and as my friend. I thank you for that rainbow you made for me the other day:) I will always continue to visit you and love you. You are my one and only real hero. To everyone: I will keep this guest book open permanently so please do share as it won't be deleted:)

To my wonderful, loving aunt. I always looked up to you and have great childhood memories of when we were all young. I enjoyed watching All My Children in the living room with all four of my aunts gathered around the TV. :-) I used to want to be just like you. I wanted to go to Parkview and be able to get all those new school clothes we used to shop for. You always picked things out that I liked. I will never forget when I got my first pair of Nikes thanks to you, Mary, LaNeal and Linda spoiling me.
I also remember you used to get me into the dances at your school. I had a HUGE crush on a couple of the boys there and you knew it and tried to help me out. 

That being said, you have always been there for your family and I admire your perseverance over all the years. You set goals and accomplished them. You were very competitive in track and field, cheer, went to college, got married, had children and got your driver's license! I was never more proud of you than when you ran with the Olympic torch. Your legacy has truly left an imprint in my life.

Thank you for living for others.

I love and miss you everyday, it is evident that you didn't just touch the lives of your family, by the amount of friends you had around you, they filled your lives when we were unable to because we were so far away. I was so proud of you and all of your accomplishments in life. You were a truely special person, beautiful inside and out. I am so glad you were able to bring your boys and stay with us those years ago, I have great memories of the time we spent together while you were here. I will miss you this Christmas, I always looked forward to your trips here. 

Shaun, Kent & Wong, my heart aches for you all, Oleana loved all of you so much, she put herself before anyone else, you all were so blessed to have her in your life. Remember how she lived and treated people because in her death she has been so greatly honored with all the kind words spoken, that is evidence that she lived a fulfilling life.

Many times over the years I have used the story of a little girl who had the inner strength and determination to go from pushing herself across her mothers floor by using a hand, a hip, and a heel to running fast enough in the special olympics that she was asked to help carry the torch for the 1984 Summer Olympics. I don't know if Oleana used her story herself but I know many of my clients have been inspired by her story and used it as motivation in their lives. She was not only a teacher of knowledge she was also a teacher of strength she was and will always be one of my hero's. We have lost one of the worlds brightest stars but she will always shine in my memories.

To an old friend that was allways smiliing.  She loved sports and I am sure that she has a front row seat now.  May your family find peace and happiness once again.  Until we meet again, RIP.

I had the pleasure of having Oleana as a student. As everyone has said, she was a very special person, with a great heart and a loving, courageous nature. She touched the lives of many, and her passing leaves a void. But now all the pain and sickness and heartaches are behind her, and she is whole and happy.

My deepest sympathy to her family and her many friends. May your memories comfort you and bring you smiles in the days to come.

All three sister's had a kind heart. It's very sad when you loose someone you love. Treasure yourmemories, and rejoice in the legaecy that she left behind. I'm blest to have known each of you and remembered the sweet spirit of your beloved sister.

Oleana was a great friend & a wonderful person. We were long life friends from school. we were very close, she was like a sister to me. She always made me laugh when I needed a good laugh. She was one of the sweetest people that I know, we were always there for each other & when someone needed something she would drop everything that she was doing to help everyone else. She loved childeren very much & she was a great mom & teacher. I believe with all my heart that she is an angel looking down from heaven watching over all of her family & friends. I will always cherish the memories that I have with her forever.

I worked for several years with Ruth at Acworth Elementary.  Ruth was the sweetest woman and very dedicated to working with the children.  I will truly miss her.

The Acworth United Methodist Church, where Shaun is a member, expresses their sympathy.  Our school and community will miss Ruth Wong, and she left a legacy of how to love and care about children, having a heart for all types of kids.

Ruth was sick all her life but she didnt let the sickness inertere with her having fun and doing the actives that everyone else was doing. She knew just how to make a person to laugh and how to make them mad but she couldnt get then not to like or love her. She was a great sister and friend.
