Nick Schaffer, 52, of Newnan, died Tuesday, July 14, 2015. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 22, at 11am from the Chapel of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw with burial following at Pineridge Memorial Park in Kennesaw. Mr. Schaffer was preceded in death by his father – James A. Schaffer and his granddaughter – Skylar.
Formerly of Marietta, Nick excelled in athletics at Walton High School and worked in the construction field as a Commercial Electrician. He loved life and his humor made him a joy to be around. Nick also loved to hunt and riding his motorcycle every chance he got.
Survivors include wife - Teresa Schaffer, children – Dustin, Falon, Courtney, and Stephanie, mom & dad – Joan and Ray Gillespie, brother – Jim Schaffer, sister – Celeste Keeter, half-brother – Tony Schaffer, and half-sister – Gina Grosvenor. Nick also has 4 grandchildren which survive.
Family is receiving friends on Tuesday at the funeral home from 6-8pm. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make donations in memory of Nick to the Bridging the Gap Ministry in Newnan.
