Sandra “Sandi” L. Falstreau, a beloved resident of Kennesaw, Georgia, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on January 18, 1944, in Beverly, Massachusetts, to Harlan and Frances Foss, Sandi lived a life defined by love, creativity, faith, and devotion to family.
Sandi attended Warton County Junior College, where she earned an associate degree in business. She dedicated her professional career to administration at the Kennesaw Methodist Children’s Academy, serving faithfully until her retirement.
She was married to her best friend and the love of her life, Lt. Ronald “Ron” H. Falstreau, for 60 wonderful years until his passing. Together, they built a beautiful life centered on faith and family. Their marriage was blessed with three loving children, who were the joy of her life, as well as 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, with another great-grandchild expected.
Sandi and Ron were devoted members of Kennesaw Methodist Church for 25 years, actively participating in numerous church organizations and events, including the women’s ministry. She was also a committed member of North Georgia Walk to Emmaus for 28 years.
Sandi’s creative spirit was evident in her love for stained glass, ceramics, and watercolor painting. She was also an accomplished writer, having published two books—one a devotional and the other an autobiography chronicling her life within the foster care system. Additionally, she wrote a children’s book that remained unpublished and was lovingly shared only with her own children.
Family was always Sandi’s greatest priority. She poured her heart into her children and grandchildren, investing her time, wisdom, and love in each of them. She will be remembered as sensitive, loving, empathetic, wise, and full of grace. Those who knew her cherished her patience, her warm giggle, and her fondness for a good corny joke.
Sandi is survived by her children: Ronald “Ron” Falstreau and his wife Stefannie, Serena Moore and her husband Todd, and Thomas Falstreau and his wife Susan; her siblings: Richard Foss and his wife Louisa, Marshell Foss and his wife Janet, and Susan Lent; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lt. Ronald “Ron” Falstreau, and her brother, Lanny Foss.
A visitation will be held at Kennesaw Methodist Church, 1801 Ben King Road, Kennesaw, Georgia 30144, on January 4, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life service from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. An inurnment will take place at Georgia National Cemetery, 1080 Scott Hudgens Drive, Canton, Georgia, on January 13, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.
