Sarah B.Freeman was born on March 20,1949, in Orange, VA, to Elsie Mae and Jefferson Henry Cottman. She died at the age of 62, on October 26, 2011. Family was extremely important to her. Surviving members include her sons James Isaac, Alexander, and Desmond; daughters-in-law Nicole and Pamela Cottman; grandchildren Vanessa Lynn, Marcus Anthony, and Desmond Jr.; Siblings Leona, Wilhelmina, Georgina, Wendell, Dexter and Margaret; a host of nieces, nephews and friends she considered extended family. She was raised in New York City, and graduated from the High School of Fashion Industries. She retired in 1994 from a career as an Accountant with the U.S. Army.
