Scott R. Coley

Mr. Scott Russell Coley, age 46, of Acworth, passed away April 30, 2015. Born in Mesa, AZ he graduated high school in Sanford, CO from Sanford High School in 1987 and the was a graduate from Brigham Young University in Provo, UT in 1994. He spent 2 years on a mission for the LDS Church to Viña del Mar, Chile where he became fluent in Spanish. His entire career, 20 years, was at British Telecommunications. He was President of the Band Boosters at North Cobb High School. As an Eagle Scout he was a proud Cub Scout Leader of Troop 719 in Acworth.

Scott is survived by his wife of 23 years, Mary Mignon Schoggen Coley; his daughters, Sarah Ellen Coley, Marybeth Coley; his parents, Ferrell and Flo Ellen Coley; sisters, Stephanie Coley, Maren McClellan; brothers, Eldon Coley, Duane Coley, Todd Coley, Jared Coley, Devin Coley; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday May 4th at 1 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 5055 Holt Road, Acworth, GA with remains placed in-state at 12 noon. Bishop Mark Settle will officiate. Interment will follow at Pine Ridge Memorial Park in Kennesaw.

The family request that the members of Cub Scout Troop 719 serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends between the hours of 6 until 8 pm, Sunday, at the funeral home.
