Sheena Paris, born September 6, 1988, in Cambridge, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2025, in Atlanta, Georgia. Though her time with us feels far too short, her life was filled with love, adventure, and purpose.
Sheena was a proud graduate of West Georgia University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in biology. Always eager to learn and grow, she was pursuing her master’s degree in education at Mercer University at the time of her passing.
Her commitment to education reflected her deep desire to help others and to make a meaningful difference in the world. Known for her organization and meticulous nature—traits her family affectionately called her “OCD”—Sheena brought order, energy, and honesty into everything she did.
She was refreshingly straightforward, deeply dependable, and always true to herself. Outside of her professional and academic pursuits, Sheena was happiest when outdoors. She loved hiking new trails, exploring new destinations, and spending time near the water or at the beach. There was a place in her heart for her favorite Haitian food which was boiled plantain with salted cod fish and boiled egg. Sheena had a special love for all children, but above all, her greatest joy was her family. Her devotion to them was unmatched, and she cherished every moment together.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, honesty, and determination that will continue to inspire all who knew her. Sheena will be deeply missed, yet fondly remembered by her family and friends.
Sheena is survived by her grandparents, Annette and Wilky St. Surin; Raphael Felix Lauriston and his wife, Darlene; her parents, Myrlene Lauriston Pamphile and Pierre Paris; her sibling, Petersen Travis Paris; her nephew, Jeremiah Datis; and her beloved son, Mykai Rajendra Mallay Jr. She is also remembered by her godmother, Lona Presume; her aunts, Fedlene, Roody, Gala, Jesika, and Marie; her uncles, Gladimir, Wilhems, Adner, Daguilar, Smith, Junior, and Farhens; all her first and second cousins and the entire Paris, Jean, Lauriston, and Francois families; her adoptive grandmother, Maryse Montes; her adoptive aunts, tatie Claudette, Margaret, Carolle, Ms. Nelta and Lesly; all her friends; Myrlene’s Konbit family; and the community at large.
A visitation for family and friends to gather will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025, from 7:00–9:00 PM at Winkenhofer Funeral Home. Funeral services to honor Sheena will follow on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Winkenhofer Funeral Home, with burial at Pine Ridge Memorial Park.
Though Sheena’s journey has ended here, her spirit lives on in the lives she touched and the love she shared.
