Terence Antonio Caston, age 62, transitioned to be with his Heavenly Father on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 15, 2025. Born on May 27, 1963, in Sandusky, Ohio, Terence was the beloved son of the late William and Dorothy Caston. Known for his timeless sayings like “Be great and be grateful” and “If you can’t be good, be good at it,” Terence’s wisdom and warmth impacted everyone who knew him.
Whether through public speaking or his podcast, “Conversations with Uncle T,” he poured into others with truth, humor, and heart. A devoted man of faith, Terence was a long-standing member of World Changers Church for over 20 years before joining Victory Church of North Cobb. He served faithfully as the Sound Engineer Ministry Leader, blending his passion for music with his love for the Lord. He instilled strong spiritual foundations in his children and mentored countless others through ministry. Family was everything to Terence. He deeply cherished his five children—his “Five Heartbeats”. He lived to make them proud, and his legacy is built not just on achievements, but on the love and relationships he nurtured.
As a mentor, leader, friend, and proud Air Force veteran, Terence built meaningful connections across generations and communities. In his younger years, Terence’s love for music took center stage with bands like Classified Players and Phaze 5, where he was known as “Castonova.” He was the family’s appointed grill master and a self-proclaimed meteorologist and storm chaser. He also had a flair for photography, fashion, cars, watches, and travel.
His creativity was matched by his technical brilliance—he was a wireless guru with 40 years in the cellular, telecommunications and IOT industries, building multiple businesses and even a radio tower in his own backyard.
He is survived by his children, Kellicia Caston, Antoria Caston, Rashad Stovall, Taylor (Brian Gil) Caston, and Michaela Caston; bonus daughter, Chasity Jones; grandchildren, Aniya Bell-Stovall and Sofia Marie Caston-Gil; siblings, Marcia Caston-Johnson, Shawn Caston, Lisa (Zachary) Brown, Glenda (Barnell Jr.) Patterson, and Marguerite Irby; mother-in-love, Janet Cross; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and lifelong friends.
He was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 40 years, Constance Marie Caston; his parents, William and Dorothy (Lee Kent), and his father-in-love, Elder Johnnie W. Cross Jr.
A funeral service for Terence will be held Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Enlightened Christian Center (World Changers), 601 Tower Rd, Marietta, GA 30060. Following the funeral service will be a committal service at Pine Ridge Memorial Park, 2950 Cobb Parkway North, Kennesaw, Georgia 30152.
