In life, Tressie found joy in simple pleasures such as bird watching and sewing, especially dresses; she even found employment as a seamstress for many years before retirement. She loved to clean and cook too - Tressie was known for her outstanding pecan pie recipe, always bringing one to any event her and her family attended. As a member of McEachem Methodist Church, she also cared deeply for her faith.
Tressie was married to her first husband Howard Hampton until his passing in 1972. Together they had two beautiful children, James and Patricia. Later in life, Tressie married her second husband, Tommy Camp, and he brought with him his five sons, 2 surviving Mark and Michael, extending their family.
Tressie will always be remembered for her quiet, kind demeanor that brought comfort to those who knew her.
Tressie Camp is preceded in death by her mother, Minnie Pickelsimer, and father, James Picklesimer; her first husband, Howard Hampton; her siblings, Wayne Pickelsimer, JD Pickelsimer, Lewis Pickelsimer, Jeanette White, Tom Pickelsimer, Opal Mitchell, Irene Larrea, and Lois Trowell; her son James Hampton; as well as her late husband Tommy Camp. A special thanks is extended to Pruitt Hospice for taking care of Tressie, as well as Mary June and Pam, friends of McEachem Church.
