He was retired from Ford Motor Company with 33 years of service and was a member of the Bethalto Lodge #406 F&AM in Bethalto, IL. Mr. Cooper was also a member of the Kennesaw United Methodist Church, the Elton Adams Sunday School Class and the Happy Voyagers.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Irene Cooper and a brother, Norman Cooper.
Survived by his daughter, Janice Stultz; grandchildren, Brandon and Kriston Sellier, Janel Sellier; great grandchildren, Hunter Sellier, Sterling Sellier, Ava Sellier; sister, Lucille Dustmann; brother, Charles Cooper; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday Sept. 18 at 11 AM at the Kennesaw United Methodist Church with remains placed in state at 10 AM. Dr. Wallace Wheeles will officiate. Entombment will follow in Pine Ridge Memorial Park Mausoleum.
