Vincent John Restivo

Vincent John Restivo, of Kennesaw, Georgia, passed away on Saturday February 3, 2018 at the age of 85. Vincent was born on January 22, 1933 in Brooklyn, New York to Giovanna Giardino and Louis M. Restivo. Vincent is survived by Ann, his wife of 58 years, their children John and Jeanine, his daughter-in-law, Maria, his sister Virginia Massaro, and grandchildren John Jr., Vincent, Jenna, and Brianna. Vincent was loved instantly by everyone he met and charmed everyone with his sense of humor and his perpetual warmth. Nothing made him happier than being at the head of a dinner table surrounded by his children and grandchildren over a home cooked Italian meal. He valued family above all else; he called his sister every day even leading into his final moments. He loved entertaining people and was a well-known actor in New York community theater, his most memorable role being that of Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof. Vincent also had an affinity for painting; a talent that flourished in his later years after being inspired by his cousin Rita Marandino. He was an avid florist and owned a flower shop in Brooklyn called The Wishing Well that he ran with his wife for many years. Vincent was preceded in death by his mother Giovanna, his father Louis, and his sister Marietta Basile. A mass for Vincent will be held Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 11:30 AM at St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, 1618 Ben King Road N.W, Kennesaw, Georgia.
