Harvey lived in Kennesaw and the West Cobb area his entire life. At a very young age, he had the responsibility of caring for his mother and sister after his father suffered a long, debilitating illness. This was the beginning of his journey of caring for his family and others and always showing concern for his family, friends and their circumstances, which he did well. As a young man, he held several jobs in the area and ultimately spent most of his career in transportation dispatch. Harvey was wise and prudent with his resources and as a result, was able to retire at 64 from Lockheed. Upon retirement, he and Ann traveled to many places, his favorite being Alaska. In addition, they along with their family, spent a lot of time on the lakes of Allatoona and Lanier camping and boating and teaching anyone that was willing, how to ski. Throughout his entire life, he enjoyed working on cars, boats or anything that was broken whether it belonged to him or a friend. Harvey was 78 when his beloved wife Ann passed away. At the age of 79, he resurrected his passion for motorcycle riding and traveled the country on his Harley and his Honda Goldwing trike. He was a very proud member of the Garmin Gang out of Cartersville, a group of passionate Harley riders who allowed him to continue to ride with the group even though he switched to a Honda Goldwing, due to his amazing personality and being in his 80’s and still riding. When home and taking a break from riding, he enjoyed hanging out with LB, caring for his lawn, azaleas, trimming shrubs, washing his prized 1993 Chevrolet truck and watching Atlanta Braves baseball. Harvey was a loving son, husband, father, grand-father, family member and friend to many. He was blessed with a long life which he lived well.
