Walter Durward Kesler

He passed away due to complications from Esophageal Cancer surgery.

He was born on June 2,1948, to Dr. A. Durward and Alowe H. Kesler in Atlanta, Georgia.

Walter graduated from Sandersville High School in 1966 where he excelled in Pole Vaulting. He attended College, then served in the Army, was honorably discharged and returned home. Walter aka "Ollie" was employed by Delta Air Lines and retired after 41 years of service. He enjoyed traveling, especially camping, and going to the races with his wife.

Walter is predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Susan; sister, Bonnie K. Tanner of Monticello, Georgia; niece, Bonita K. Tanner of Saint Simons Island, Georgia; nephew, Mell J. Tanner, III (Tiffany) and 2 great-nephews, Nate and Ben Tanner of Madison, Georgia; and several close cousins.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to your favorite charity in his memory.

A memorial service for Walter will be held Thursday, January 27, 2022 at 10:45 AM at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, 2950 North Cobb Pkwy, Kennesaw, Georgia 30152.

A reception will follow the service. The interment will occur Thursday, January 27, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Georgia National Cemetery, 1080 Scott Hudgens Drive, Canton, Georgia 30194.
