He was born in Sheffield, AL and was a graduate of the University of Tennessee. He retired from the Atlanta Journal Constitution as a Journalist. He was a veteran of the Air Force. He enjoyed spending time with his family, vacations at Tybee Island, playing his guitar, and writing songs.
