March 11, 1991 – December 5, 2023
Alanda was fun, outgoing, young woman. She also had a calm, shy demeanor about her, never rude and always with a smile. She enjoyed watching rink hockey at the tin forum and travelling to pow-wows. Alanda enjoyed beading and sometimes earned a little bit of money off her beading projects.
She leaves behind three beautiful children Carter, Kailyn and Sklyer. Her womb-mate/twin and best friend Evander, her oldest brother Keon (Jamie), her dad Keon, grandma Evelyn Pahpasay. Aunts and uncles Doreen Strong (Chris), Sidney, Sandra, nieces Toot, Julia, first cousins Vivian, Rachel, Ricky, Chelsea, Anita, Merrill, Chris (Bubba), and many more aunts, uncles, cousins and family members too numerous to mention.
Miigwetch to Jessica Swain and Carmie Beardy for being the best supportive friends to Alanda.
Alanda was predeceased by her mother Beatrice, her older sister Savannah, her brother Hank, her maternal grandparents Julia and Willie Keewatin, paternal grandparents Margaret and Joseph Strong, cousins Rocky and Hector Land Jr., Rebecca Keewatin, Jonathan Keewatin.
Wake service will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 beginning at 3:00pm at the Trappers Building in Grassy Narrows First Nation. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at 10:00am with burial to follow in Grassy Narrows First Nation.
