Barbara Duguay

Barb was born in Kenora and spent her childhood between Kenora, Minaki and Whitedog.

As a young teenager she met her brother’s friend Rick, fell in love and married him in 1968. They built their lives together for 51 years until his passing in 2019. She filled her time with family and friends. Aside from spending time with her daughter and cherished grandchildren she looked forward to her Wednesday coffee group made up of lifelong friends she made in her many years at Community and Social Services. She was also excited to share her next adventure with her companion Bob.

She is now with her parents Pat and Reg Klose, brother Ernie, husband Rick and her son Colin. She leaves behind to miss and remember her daughter Lee (Sean), grandchildren Tyler (Andrea), Jordyn (Jordan), Jeff (Pascal), Alison, bonus grandchildren Sarah and Aryn and her special friend Bob.

She will also be missed by her brother-in-law Terry (Kathy), sister-in-law Joy (Ron), many nieces and nephews and her 7 great grandchildren.

Thank you to the ICU staff at Lake of the Woods District Hospital that took such good care of her.

No service will be held as per Barb’s wishes. A private internment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the charity of your choice.
