Sister-in-law Norma Danku, Betty Maguire, Cecile (Brian) Drummond and Brother-in-law Mike Maguire, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Bette was born and raised in Kenora, Ontario, where she met the love of her life Ted Booth. During their marriage they moved around a lot due to Ted's career with the R.C.M.P. before eventually planting their roots back in Kenora. Bette worked as a secretary for the O.P.P., later taking time to be a stay-at-home mom and eventually as her children grew older she returned to the O.P.P. as a guard where she spent a span of 30 years before retiring to spend quality time with her family. Bette was also a member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority in Kenora for many years.
Bette enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved the lake, especially her visits to Sioux Narrows Park, gardening, reading, shopping, weekend gatherings with the whole family, and did many crafts when she was younger.
There will be no service at this time. A private celebration of life, for family only, will be held at a later time.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to a charity of your choice in remembrance of Bette.
The family would like to extend gratitude to Dr D. Kyle and the staff of the Lake of The Woods District Hospital for doing everything possible, and for the great care provided to Bette as well as the family.
You will be missed every single day.
