With her family always held close in her heart, Brandi Joy Bichon passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at her parents’ home overlooking Lake of the Woods, surrounded by tons of love, at the age of 49.
Brandi was a bright, loving soul who found her greatest joy in the people she cared for. She had a gift for creating warmth everywhere she went, always ready with a cheerful smile, a silly face, a loud laugh, or a spontaneous song. Brandi loved music and could turn any moment into one that felt lighter and happier with her singing.
Brandi was known for her home-cooked meals, putting so much love into every dish she made. Food always brought her family together, and nothing made her happier than seeing her loved ones smiling and well-fed. She always shared her loving nature through care, connection, and the comfort of simply being together with family or friends/ loved ones.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her children, Kellen Willis and Katana Willis; her parents, Darlene and Leo Bichon; her brothers, Troy Bichon and Leo Bichon Jr.; her friends Terra Tio, Alana Brown, and Kate Bray; and by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends whose lives were touched by her presence.
Brandi’s kindness, humour, and unwavering love will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her. Her family will forever cherish the memories of laughter-filled rooms, shared meals, and the music she brought into their lives.
A celebration of Brandi’s life will be held at a later date during the summer, as Brandi loved the warm weather, nature, and the lakes that surround Kenora, especially the dragonflies and the bees. Brandi loved camping and being outdoors whenever her health allowed. We will be honouring Brandi and all her joy in the loving spirit of summer, as she requested. Details of the celebration of life will be shared in the local paper and on the Brown’s Funeral Home website.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors and nurses of Lake of the Woods District Hospital, and a special thank you to Mike Limerick for his unwavering care of our mom.
Till we meet again, Mom. ❤️
A Celebration of Life is planned for the summer of 2026.
