

Brian was predeceased by his parents Muriel and Fred Houghton, sisters Cheryl Houghton and Joanne Niemcow, niece Cheryl Lynn Boychuk and nephew Gordon McKie.
Brian leaves to mourn his wife Gail of 52 years, children Brian Jr. and wife Carol and their daughters Melissa and Brooklynn, son Trevor and son Fred and wife Joanne and their sons Jackson and Kaiden, also surviving is his brother David and sister Debbie plus many nieces and nephews.
Brian was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan on September 28, 1948 and started his career with the town of Kenora at the age of 18, then following his passion for the love of hunting and fishing he chose to be chief guide for the Grace Anne in Kenora, Finishing his career as a custodian for Ontario housing..
Brian’s pride and joy was spending time hunting and fishing with his family and close friends... in the last few years he loved taking drives and trips with his wife...
A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date ... special thanks to all the nurses and doctors of the third floor and the Lake of the Woods District Hospital who made Brian’s last days comfortable...donations can be made to the heart and stroke foundation in his honour.
