

Christian Joseph Symanyk, fondly known as CJ, was born on June 11, 1986, in Kenora, ON, Canada. He lived his entire life in the beautiful surroundings of Kenora, where he developed a love for the outdoors. Christian was an adventurous spirit who enjoyed fishing, snowboarding, and biking during his youth. As he embraced fatherhood, these passions became cherished activities shared with his beloved son, Jax Cason Symanyk.
A graduate of Beaver Brae Secondary High School, CJ went on to work as a greens keeper for Beauty Bay Golf Course and roofer for R.E.M.R roofing. He was known for his strong work ethic and dedication to his jobs. Beyond his professional life, Christian was a devoted father and loved his family. He cherished every moment spent with Jax and his family, finding joy in their time together.
Christian had a special fondness for his grandma's Christmas dinner, which brought the family together during the holiday season. His interests extended to sports, where he enjoyed watching and trying his hand at MMA, practicing karate, and hitting the slopes on his snowboard.
He is survived by his son, Jax; his parents, Kathy and Jamie MacFarlane; his brother, Willam (Chantelle); his sister, Jineen; his niece, Kenora; and his loving grandparents, Marlene and Walter Hertz. Christian's extended family includes aunts and uncles Judy (Mel) Eldridge, Kim (Kerry) Loranger, Cheryl (Darren) Pylatuik, Keith Symanyk, Charmaine (Mike) MacFarlane- Hay, Sheera York, Sheila Wesley, and Jack MacFarlane, along with many cousins who held him dear.
Christian's vibrant spirit and passion for life, kindness and helping hand will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
