Christopher M.J. Cochrane was born February 16, 1999 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He passed away on July 31, 2024 at 4:04 a.m at the St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg.
He is predeceased by great grandparents: Harvey Cochrane Sr., Agnes Cochrane, Dugal McKenzie, Marcel Pahpasay Sr., and Rosie Pahpasay. Aunties and Uncles: Delaney Sharpe, Marcel John Pahpasay, Paul Pahpasay, Darlene Pahpasay, Roy Pahpasay, Keith Pahpasay I, Keith Pahpasay II, Clark Pahpasay, Edna Cochrane Bombay, and Lance Cochrane.
Loving son to his parents Charlene Cochrane and Joseph Paul, grand-parents Barbara Pahpasay/Skead, Larry Cochrane. Traditional grandparents Gary Cochrane (Gloria). Siblings Justine Lynn Cochrane, Brooklynn Agnes Rose Cochrane. Great Aunties and uncles Linda Pahpasay/McDonald, Sandra Pahpasay, Dorothy Pahpasay (Daniel), Ervin Pahpasay, Karen Pahpasay, Judy Cochrane (Gary), Nicole Cochrane (Grover), Lori Ann Cochrane, Justin Cochrane.
Christopher is from the Caribou Clan. He had a planned future for himself. He enjoyed being with friends. He loved his gal pal Paris Meekis. He was a happy go-lucky kind of guy and he was helpful and kind. He had many friends including Nowandigo Fobister, Ronald Pelly Jr., Damien Fobister and many, many friends too numerous to mention.
Chris loved to fish, learn to play guitar and piano and super loved his video games. He loved being on the computer and had excellent computer skills. He loved pow-wow songs and other music.
Christopher’s wake will take place on Sunday, August 4th, 2024 at the Trappers Building in Grassy Narrows and will continue until the Traditional Funeral Service at 10:00 am on Tuesday, August 6th, 2024 with Elder Langford Ogemah officiating, burial to follow in Grassy Narrows First Nation.
