Cory James Joseph

September 4, 1973 – July 8, 2023

Cory James Joseph, age 49, of Thunder Bay, Ontario passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Science Centre.

He was predeceased by his grandparents.

He is survived by his wife Cherone Paypompee, his sons Bryson Paypompee wife (Jess Ann Kwandibens), Cory Joseph Jr., his daughters Zuri Joseph, Nyssa Joseph, his grandchildren Troy Paypompee, Jenaya Paypompee, Talon Paypompee, his parents Alvin Bird and Hazel Joseph (Richard), siblings (her children) Shandale Jack (Jules Gibbins), children Soraya, Karmel, Kaley and Jaxon Gibbins, Ryan Jack and son Aidan Tom, Phyllisity Jack and children Caleb, Luke, KC., Robert D Sam/Hegg, who raised him, they travelled to pow-wows all across USA-Canada, as well as a trip England. He is also survived by his brother Robert Sam Jr., his sisters Roberta Sam (Sky Larson), Candace Sam, Jenny Joseph (Steven Stewart), Elfreda Sam and numerous nieces, nephews and relatives too numerous to mention.

Wake service will be held on Friday, July 14, 2023 at 3:00 pm at Reed Narrows. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at 10:00 pm at Reed Narrows with burial to follow in Whitefish Bay First Nation.
