

Curtis Allan Ronning
Curtis Allan Ronning, age 62, passed away suddenly on March 27, 2015, after a superb day of fishing on Hillock Lake, under a beautiful blue sky and with the company of great friends.
Curtis was born on June 30, 1952 in Kenora, and was a lifelong resident. Curtis worked as a locomotive engineer for CP Rail. At the time of his death, Curtis was fully enjoying his retirement, taking every opportunity he had to spend time with family and friends, travel and enjoy the outdoors.
Curtis is survived by his mother, Ellen, sister, Carole Coutts (Richard), children Dylan (Yanit), Pamela (Nick), Kylee (Vahid), friend Margaret, nephews Aaron, David, Shawn and Jeremy, nieces Danielle and Virginia, and grandchildren Helena and Rebecca.
Curtis was an avid fisher, golfer and a lover of all things outdoors. Curt cherished his time with his family, with a particular fondness for his newly acquired role as grandfather to granddaughters Helena and Rebecca. Curt's vibrant personality affected all those around him and will not be easily forgotten.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Centre. A Celebration of Life will be held at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at 11:00 a.m., with a reception to follow at Knox United Church.
