It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of my beloved wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, niece, cousin and a good friend, Delores Swain on October 8, 2017 in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

Delores was survived by her husband, Ralph, sons: Curtis (Cynthia), Jeffery and daughters: Kimberly, Gem and Drew. Also mourning her passing are her beloved grandchildren, Austin, Roberta, Korelle, Kallie, Kerrielyn, Jazelle and baby Angel and great-granddaughter, Addy. Her sister: Pricilla Land and brothers: Brian Land and Vernon Land. Her aunties: Marie Swain, Harriet Bigblood and Leah Land. Her uncles: George Land, Fred Land and John Kokopenace. Her best friend: Flora Cameron. Delores had many relatives, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends too numerous to mention.

Delores was predeceased by her father, Alex Land and her mother, Margaret Swain, sisters Katherine and Sheila Land, son Dale Land and grandmother, Jessie Land.

In her younger years, Delores loved rice picking, hunting and fishing. Some employment were in tree planting, greenhouse labourer, etc. She really enjoyed having her grandchildren came to visit, she boosted about them at every opportunity she got. She loved cooking and baking, especially for them, they were her pride and joy. Delores had many friends and really enjoyed visiting with them at bingo hall or on her shopping trips.

The Wake will start Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the Wabaseemoong Community Hall, with funeral services will be held on Friday, October 13, 2017 at 10:00 am with Pastor Frank Kowal officiating the service.

We will miss you dearly but are assured that God has you in his hands.

The family would like to thank all the medical professional and staff who looked after our loved one in her time of need. We would also like to thank everyone who has come to be with us.
