Don passed away peacefully at Wiigwas Elder and Senior Care Home on Aug 13, 2025, at the age of 82.
Don was born on Nov 14,1942 in Fort Frances, Ontario to Roy and Winnifred Caul. He grew up in Lavallee, Ontario with his siblings Lillian, Alvin, Lynn and Dean.
He is survived by his wife Jean of 52 years, their daughter Amanda and son Ryan (Andrea) and his daughters Donna and Laura (Bob). They have six grandchildren- Jordie, Emily, Isaac (Bianca), Ethan (Baily), Mason and Natalie, his brother Dean (Gail), numerous nieces and nephews. Family was very spread out, but he always enjoyed his visits when they could get together.
Don left school at age 17 to begin his working career in the logging industry deep in the woods of Northern Ontario. He worked many jobs before landing a welding job with Banister Pipeline.
