Donna Gail Paul

Donna Gail Paul, was born on ‪July 1st, 1966‬ in Kenora Ontario. Passed away on January 23, 2021 in the comfort of her home. She is from Northwest Angle #33. Moved to Winnipeg to raise her children. Then moved back home.

Donna gave birth to 5 girls Shannon Paul, Jasmine Paul, Whitney Paul (predeceased 2002), Judith Paul, and Sonia Paul. Donna loved and adored her daughters very much and cared for them the best way she could. She will be missed by her Grandson Brixton Harper.

Donna also loved her family. Her parents Rose Shebahkeget, and John Paul (deceased). Brothers and sisters, Kendall Paul, Elaine Paul, Ruby Paul, Mark Paul, Teressa Paul, (twin) Donald Paul, and Marshall Paul. She loved all her nieces, nephews and cousins. There are too many to count.

She will be greeted in the spirit world by her father John Paul, daughter Whitney, nieces Miranda Paul, April Carpenter, and nephew Erlen Ozkanli (All predeceased).

Donna loved visiting with family and friends in the community and in Winnipeg. She enjoyed spending time helping her good friend Bill, with wood work, she thought of Isaiah as a nephew or grandson, she loved him dearly. She helped others even with what little she had. Babysitting, cleaning, offering food were some of those acts of kindness.

Donna liked to dance laugh and enjoyed being social with others. She had an amazing laugh, and loved to tease and have fun. She liked going for walks and would observe natures beauty. She always seemed to find images in the clouds and heart shaped rocks.

She is proud to speak her Ojibwe language. A proud Anishinaabe ikwe who respected animals, life and nature.

Donna was able to sympathize with others who were disadvantaged and she would show the most caring heart and compassion for others.

Wake service will be held on Sunday, January 31, 2021 at 2:00 pm at the Northwest Angle 33 First Nation Complex. Funeral service will be held on Monday, February 1, 2021 at 10:00 at Northwest Angle 33 First Nation Complex with burial to follow.
