April 29, 1935 – May 27, 2025
Georgette (Ouellette) Dupere, better known as “Georgie” by family and close friends as well as teacher (Madame), mere, “mymere” and grandmere.
She was born in Edmonston, New Brunswick on April 29, 1935, and went peacefully on May 27, 2025, surrounded by immediate family Gilles (Cheryl), Lise (Klaus), Renee (Jody).
She is survived by 8 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was a devout catholic, enjoyed her bowling, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Skipbo and Rummoli were her favourite games that she bamboozled everyone (no favourites) in her later years.
She taught all over Northwestern Ontario and accumulated many loving friends that she kept close contact with and she was an avid letter and card writer.
Join us in a Celebration of Life on Monday, August 25, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, with a light luncheon will follow.
The family requests to please make donations to the Alzheimer’s Society in Georgie’s memory.
Special thanks to all the staff at Wiigwas for their exceptional care.
She was there when we took our first breath,
We were there when she took her last.
Grief only exists where love lived first,
Until we meet again.
