Gina leaves behind many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, god children and all her friends who have shared those special moments around her kitchen table.
Gina was born on May 19, 1946 in Colledimezzo, Italy. She was the youngest of four children. She crossed the ocean in 1963 to join her brother Domenico and family. In that same year she met her future husband Natale Troilo. On April 18, 1964, they married. Together they raised their loving family with traditional values in a new world. Their heritage and culture stayed strong and mom became well known for her ways around the kitchen.
Gina had an incredible sense of humour that went along with her beautiful smile and infectious laughter. Many who came and sat at her kitchen table always left feeling content. She would easily feed your body and nourish your soul.
Mom enjoyed the many people and friends she met through her work and her time spent volunteering.
Special thanks to Aunty Sharon, Settimio and Maria Fagnilli, Sergio and Irma Ricci, Violet and Regan Ronnebeck, Rod and Cathy Ficek and the Tella family, for their kindness, friendship, help and love for mom.
We are grateful to Dr. Beveridge and the staff at the chemotherapy department, as well as the devoted staff of Lake of the Woods District Hospital. Your professionalism and caring nature helped put mom at ease during her long battle.
