"Archie ense"
James Jimmy Redsky passed away on November 26, 2013 at the age of 83 years.
He was predeceased by his parents Archie Redsky & Mary Wahpay, his children Vivian Redsky, David Seymour Redsky, Audrey Mae Redsky, his brothers and sisters Brenda Moellenbeck, Sarah Seymour, George Landon and Ronnie Redsky.
He will be missed by his daughter Elizabeth Seymour (Delores) and her children Renee, Tyson, Keisha, Travis and Fawn, son Jimmy Mandamin and his children J.R. Mandamin, Chantel, Mathew & Cherissa,, Kavin Redsky (Bern), and his children Jordan, Tyler & Tammy, daughter Frances Redsky and her children Kerry, Paul, Roxanne & Davy, (Audrey-predeceased) and her children B.J., Anne & Soni, siblings Gwen Redsky, Desmond Redsky (Cheryl), Bryan Redsky, Dorothy Skead (Freddy), Gus Landon (Kathleen) and Cecil Redsky (Grace), many nieces, nephews and cousins too numerous to mention.
He was well loved by everyone and was involved in the community. He loved to visit Chief and Council to keep up with events. He was a commercial fisherman and later on he worked as an Addiction and Education Counsellor. He loved to visit everybody. He was a Healer and people came to him for medicinal herbs. He played for the “Triple A” Brandon Wheat Kings in his earlier years. He was an avid hockey fan and loved to watch his son and grandchildren playing hockey.
Pallbearers will be Tyler Skead, Jordan Redsky, Davy Redsky, J.R. Mandamin, Daren Moellenbeck, Luke Linklater, Derek Skead, Bryan Redsky, Desmond Redsky and John Skead.
Wake Service will be held on Friday, November 29, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at Ojibway Heritage School at Shoal Lake #40.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ojibway Heritgae School, Shoal Lake # 40 with Elder Gilbert Smith officiating with interment to follow.
