Jules Foucher
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jules (Joe) Foucher on May 4, 2014 at Birchwood Terrace Nursing Home.
Joe was predeceased by his parents Herve & Rose Foucher, three brothers, two sisters and one son Joey (1985).
He was born on October 10, 1928 in Zenon Park, Saskatchewan and moved to Vancouver Island when he was six years old, then moving to Sioux Narrows in 1952 where he married the love of his life Gladys and they raised their family.
Joe will be lovingly remembered by his wife Gladys, his two sisters and one brother, children Pierrette (Wolf), Joanne (Lawrie), John (Cindy), Gina (Kirk), grandchildren Kari & Darin, Deann, Jordan & Chelsey, Peter & Kaila and nine great grandchildren.
Dad worked fighting forest fires for the M.N.R. for many years and also as park superintendent at Sioux Narrows Provincial Park. He was a volunteer ambulance driver/attendant. He loved trapping, hunting, fishing, travelling and spending time with his family. He would rarely turn down a game of cribbage if asked.
Celebration of Life will be held on May 30 , 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sioux Narrows, Ontario with Father Manaloto officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
A very special thanks to Dr. Bowerman and the staff of Birchwood Terrace Nursing Home who welcomed dad with open arms and very warm hearts. Dad loved you all and we cannot thank you enough for everything you did for him and our family.
