Julia (Julie) Agnes Cederwall (nee Pekarchuk)

November 11, 1922 – August 1, 2014

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Julie Cederwall - (nee Pekarchuk).

She passed away on August 1, 2014 at the Lake of the Woods District Hospital. She was born November 11, 1922 in Kenora Ontario. Julie was 91 years old. She is survived by her three children, Arnold (Sharon) Cederwall, Lorrie (Bill) Clemmens, Wayne (Karen) Cederwall. Grandchildren, Diane (Jeff) Moar, Carrie (Martin) Camire, Dean (Kim) Cederwall, Dan (Andrea) Clemmens, Kristi (Brent) Hawrysh, Ashley Cederwall, Greg Cederwall, Jeff Cederwall. Great-Grandchildren, Brandon and Laura Cederwall, Jenna, Matthew and Kylie Camire, Hayley, Nathan and Lily Hawrysh. Sisters-in-law, Jo Pekarchuk, Rose Pekarchuk, Vicky Cederwall, Rose Cederwall. Brother-in-law and sister-in-law Rickard and Vi Cederwall and good friend Faye Devins.

She was predeceased by her parents, William and Mary Pekarchuk; her husband, Elmer Cederwall; her brothers, Tony, John, and Mike Pekarchuk and numerous other relatives.

Thanks to the Personal Care Workers working in the assisted living program, and Janis Robertson, at Benidickson Court. Also a thank you to the nurses and doctors who were involved with Julie’s care during her short hospital stay. In lieu of flowers, if one chooses, donations can be made to the Lake of the Woods District Hospital or the Bethesda Lutheran Church.

The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 7th, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Home with Pastor Gallivan, from the Bethesda Lutheran Church, officiating. Interment to follow at the Lake of the Woods cemetery.

Immediately following the interment there will be a light lunch and gathering in the common room at Benidickson Court. Julie was a very quiet woman who loved her family dearly. The best Mom, Grandmother and Great-grandmother her family could ever ask for. She loved her church and had a strong faith in God. She will be dearly missed by all.
