June Eva Daigle

We announce with great sadness and heavy hearts the passing of our dear mother June Eva Daigle (born Ostafichuk) on February 15, 2020, at the age of 81 years at the Lake of the Woods District Hospital in Kenora.

She was born in Kenora, Ontario June 1st 1938, predeceased by her parents Katie Bobik and Peter Ostafichuk and infant daughter Jo-ann Daigle.

She will be forever remembered by her daughter Deborah-Ann (Pierre Masse), her 3 sons Peter (Carole Bourgeois ) Michel , Denis (Karine Dault), and grandchildren Ghislaine & Yves Masse, Stéphanie Daigle, Shawn & Annael Daigle, as well as her great grandchildren: Olivier & Loranne Cossette, Meliane & Emile Masse, and Ludovik Hunter Daigle. Also part of her immediate family are Jessica & Claire Bourgeois, Annabelle & Laurianne Dault and her former husband Gérard Daigle.

June was a member of the Catholic Women’s League of Canada from 1992 until 2013, as well the Canadian Daughter’s League from1987 – 2001 and Royal Canadian Legion from 1991 – 2003.

June shall be cremated by Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Centre of Kenora and buried during the summer 2020 in Val d'or, Quebec, beside her mother, along with a private and loving ceremony.

June wished that we mention a special thanks to all who helped her remain comfortable, such as the Hospital staff, the Priest, Homecare services, as well as her close friends.

Family & friends meant everything to her, they were an important part of her life, keeping them close to her heart.
