Kimberly McDonald

September 28, 1984 - May 10, 2026

It is with great sadness and regret to announce the tragic and unexpected passing of our beloved sister, mother, daughter, niece, cousin, and friend; Kimberly Ursula McDonald. She passed away, peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, May 10th the Mother’s Day of 2026. After a life of dedicating herself to bringing her children into this world, may her spirit be free of the darkness that prevented her from being everything she hoped to be.

Kimberly is predeceased by her parents, Delores McDonald & Ralph McDonald. Her siblings, Dale McDonald and Ursula McDonald.

Kimberly is survived by her siblings, Jeffrey Land, Erica McDonald, Jem Moeller, Drew McDonald and Curtis Swain. She leaves behind her Children, Korelle Tyree, Kaleigh Layah, Keri-Lynn Isis, Giselle (GG) Jaymee, Khloe (Kobe Bryans) Ambree, Angel (Something) Sheila.

She will be missed by many of the communities she spent time traveling between. Kimberly knew so many people and loved spending whatever time she could with those who welcomed her. Kimberly has been a part of many different families and communities, many of which she would keep in touch with throughout her life. Her absence is felt by the friends and family in

Whitedog, the various foster families that took her in, her second family with Kelsey Joseph and Rene Downwind and his children who will help to look after hers; Kyra Krish, Kendra Taylor, Kevin Maria, Klayton Anthony and Tobin Sky. As well as the community family that looked after her until the very end who understood her trauma and vulnerability and chose to support her.

The family would like to give their extended gratitude to Lake of The Woods Detox, The Kenora Fellowship Center, KCA’s Makwa Patrol and Kenora EMS. We appreciate these programs looking out for her when she needed it the most.

Visitation will be held at Perch Bay Resort, 50 Darlington Dr, Kenora, ON, P9N 3X5 on May 28, 2026, at 10:00 am. Funeral Service will be held at Perch Bay Resort, 50 Darlington Dr, Kenora, ON, P9N 3X5 on May 29, 2026, at 11:00 am with cremation to follow.
