Leanne was born June 11th, 1976, in Kenora and was the baby of the family. Leanne attended Mount Carmel, Thomas Aquinas, and Beaver Brae schools where she made lifelong friendships that she still had and cherished to her last day.
Leanne started her working life at Ivey Aviation (Walsten Air) and has remained in the aviation business for over twenty plus years including with her current employer Mag Air. Leanne's work family meant a lot to her and we know she meant a lot to them.
Leanne and Todd enjoyed spending their time on the river fishing… well Todd fished, and Leanne read her book and snoozed. Bonfires in their backyard was also something they enjoyed together. Since she was a little girl, Leanne was an avid music fan and loved going to concerts with Todd, Todd's family, her sister Michelle, and her friends.
Leanne loved animals, especially cats, and spent many years volunteering at the Kenora Cat Shelter. Leanne's original intent was that she was not going to bring home any animals. However, two ended up making their home with her over the years to share in the love and comfort she had to offer.
The family would like to thank the First Responders, the LOTW District Hospital Emergency Dept and Dr. Sem who attended to Leanne in her last moments. Also, to Cory and the staff at Brown's for assisting us with Leanne's final arrangements.
On the inside of Leanne's wrist was a tattoo that included a paw print of her beloved cat Mackie along with these words from one of her favorite artists, Jimmy Buffett "Breathe in, Breathe out, Move on".
