Paulette and Doris.....I'm so sorry to hear about your mom's passing but what a fantastic life she had. You mentioned her big smile and this is what I remember most....that and her welcoming nature when we were kids at your home. I remember birthday parties with 'money cakes' and playing musical chairs! :) I know you will miss her incredibly and yet it's wonderful that you were all so close for this last chapter in her life and made so many wonderful new memories. My thoughts are with you......

Paulette, Doris and Nancy - so sorry to hear of Lillians passing.  She was such a bright light!  Many years of our family get togethers and camping trips will remain as fond memories.  My mom and yours made sure the kids had fun but I think they had more fun than us!  Your mom was a special lady and will be missed by many.  My condolences to you all!

A wonderful lady and great teacher, I am so sorry to learn of your family’s loss. I knew Mme Gagnon to be such a kind and yet strong, guiding force as my SK teacher “in the church” when I started SMB, and also a wonderful friend and neighbour to my godparents down the street. May the memories of her laughter bring your hearts warmth in the times ahead.

Lil was a very fine lady.  We taught with her at different times over the years.  She had a great sense of humour and a straight forward way of speaking. Yes indeed she was a talented artist.  A life well lived.

My condolences to the family. I met Auntie Lil through her neice Michelle, my best friend. I always felt so welcome in her home. She was incredibly kind and also very funny. I will miss visiting her and all her little fur friends that used to come around for food. It was always a fun time! God bless you Auntie Lil ! Aunty Lil was that person for me—steady, nurturing, and always there when I needed someone to lean on. She wasn't loud about her care, but you felt it in everything she did. She had a gift for making people feel safe. Her house was a sanctuary—warm, welcoming, and always full love.

Doris, Larry, Aleah, Paulette and Nancy. I am so sorry for your loss. I consider myself incredibly blessed to have so many wonderful memories of Lil.  My Mom and I shared laughs with her until we were all snorting and our faces hurt. We have also shared tears with her until our eyes were red and swollen nearly shut. Through everything we shared, it was one of life's great joys to love her and count her as a true and close friend. This is a terrible loss for so many people and the void she leaves in many peoples lives will be felt deeply and for a very long time, for ever in some cases. She was truly a very special person, capable of loving very deeply and without hesitation. She had a gift for seeing everyone through compassionate and empathetic eyes, something that is so lacking in the world today. I have never known her to judge anybody, she just accepted everyone as they were and somehow found something positive and valuable in everyone. What a remarkable woman and what an enormous loss.

Mme Gagnon was my favorite French Teacher in elementary school.  And was happy to see her whenever I came to visit my aunt and uncle Schabler that lived across the street from her.  Please accept my deepest condolences Paulette and Doris.  She was an amazing lady and will be missed, but the memories will remain.

Our deepest condolences to the Gagnon family. Mrs. Gagnon was a wonderful woman. She was my 3rd gr. teacher at Keewatin Public and was a strict but kind and fair teacher. She was a favorite of mine and many others. Later in life I met and worked her husband Joe at Trio Motors and we got together through work related social events. Years pass by and I came to work with Lilian's daughter Doris where I offered my services to help with some renovations to Lilian's home. We  would have coffee and chat about life in general while I worked on her house. She was always interested in what was going on with her past students. I enjoyed our conversations very much.

Doris and Paulette, my sincere condolences on the passing of your wonderful mother. She was one of the most amazing people I’ve ever met. She had such a useful spirit and would fill the room with her laughter and light.

I feel so blessed to have gotten to know her throughout the years and  considered her a great friend.  I would never leaving a conversation with her without a big smile on my face.

I hope you can find peace in the amazing care, love and support you provided your mom throughout the years. She was so proud of you both.

Mrs. Gagnon was my teacher  - I believe it was Grade 4 - at Keewatin Public School.  She was such a wonderful teacher - one of my favourites.  I always remember her lovely ring with a large green stone.  In later years - we reconnected - when she attended New Horizons ...  we had many wonderful chats -great  memories.  My husband Garth, also had her as a teacher in Matlock MB  when she was Miss Carrierre.  I also had her brother Leo as a teacher in Grade 8  again at Keewatin Public School.
