January 29, 1998 - October 13, 2018
It is with the deepest sorrow we announce the untimely passing of our daughter, sister, niece, cousin, great-granddaughter and friend Logan.
Logan leaves her memory to her mother Melanie Kolisnik (Steve), her father Daryl Philipchuk & step-mother Lindsay Dokuchie, her brothers, Jayson and Jaxyn, her aunties Christine Derouard (Jerry), Lindsay Kolisnik, Sandra Zabloski (Pat), Tracy Weinstein (Paul) and cousins Tristin, Hailey, and Alexis, her great grandfather Steve Kolisnik, her baba “Kell” (Kelly Carver), and the three girls she held close to her heart Malin, Remi and Ava. “Loggie” will be lovingly remembered by Ramona Sawatzky with whom she shared a special bond with. She also leaves behind the extended Kolisnik, Philipchuk, Dokuchie and Blanchette family and all of the friends she adored. The people who will love and miss her until they take their last breath are too numerous to mention. She is predeceased by her grandparents Dave & Linda Kolisnik, Richard Philipchuk, Heddy Lund and great grandmother Irene Kolisnik.
What a caterpillar calls the end, the butterfly calls the beginning. Logan was known for her big brown eyes, her fearless attitude, her sense of humor, and the love she radiated to everyone who was lucky enough to enter her life. She was so fond of music it seemed to follow her wherever she’d go. She had a soft spot for animals and cherished the children in her life immensely. She held out her hand to anyone who needed the love she so graciously gave. Logan's positivity gave hope to everyone, and her generosity will never go unnoticed by the people who were lucky enough to bear witness. Her charismatic personality always shone throughout darkness; she had a way of brightening the whole room with her beautiful smile that created dimples you could see from outer space. Logan had an everlasting love for her friends whom she treasured deeply and without a doubt. She fancied shiny rings and meaningful tattoos and loved her family more than a person can put into words. Logan would always go out of her way to prove that. The bonds she created with the people who entered her life were exceptionally special and one of a kind. Her laugh was contagious and will never be forgotten in the time that passes. Logan gave hope to everyone. Missing her will be terribly hard work but her love will outlast our sorrow. A person who is loved does not die.
Family can now rest easy knowing Logan is with her one true love and soulmate, Chris Barclay.
Logan's family would like to extend gratitude to the emergency first responders and staff at Lake of the Woods District Hospital. Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Centre has been entrusted with Logan’s care. The family also wants to thank everyone who has come forward with their condolences, it has not gone unnoticed. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to Sunset Area Victim Crisis Assistance and Referral Service.
