

Marian was born in Turek, Poland on March 23, 1925, he immigrated to Canada on a work permit. He became a Canadian Citizen on December 15th, 1967.
While working in Northwestern Ontario, he met and married Helen February and became a member of a larger family in Kenora.
After 30 years of service with the Ministry of Transportation, he retired to a life of travel and visiting with friends, as well as a trip back to Europe.
He enjoyed his time at the New Horizon Seniors Centre and was granted Honorary Life Membership for volunteering.
Maintaining a neat and tidy yard and home were also important to him. Even his 3 fur babies knew they were not to enter the house till their paws were wiped clean and dry.
Marian was predeceased by his wife Helen of 42 years in February of 2009, and by her daughters; Viola Dika, Elizabeth Longe, Isabel Longe, Lillian February and her only son Julius February.
Marian is survived by one step-daughter Margaret Lee and one step-son-in-law Fred Longe, as well as many grandchildren and their families. Also missing him will be his niece Joyce (Leo) Hertz and family.
Special thanks to friends David and June Moorey, Olga and Barry Hale, Marilyn L for your visits over the years. Also to neighbours on 13th Avenue N. for their "neighbourhood watch." You were all very special people to Marian.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 12, 2024 at 11:00am at Knox United Church with Reverend Frances Flook officiating. Interment will be held at lake of the Woods Cemetery.
If friends so desire, in memory of Marian donations, to the Knox United Church or It's a Dogs Life would be appreciated by the family.
