Born May 23, 1950 and called home December 16, 2018

Marie passed away at Thunder Bay Regional Hospital with her son and oldest granddaughter by her side.

Marie is predeceased by her parents Robert and Mary Noella Kent, mother in law Olive Cameron, her grandchildren Wesley Hunter, a set of twins, Jacob Wesley, Gilbert (chookoons) Hunter, Richard Seymour, Johnny Fraser, her cousins Brian Starr, Eva Michaud, niece Bella Antoine, Aunts Rose Bombay (Smith) and Rosie Kent, Uncles David Kent, James Kent and Leo Smith.

She is survived by her children Patrick (Lise) Kent, Christa (Charles) Ogemah and Rachel (Justin) Hunter, her grandchildren Alarice, Anthony, Nina (Arnold), Liam, Keira, Jaymen (Shaylene), Martin Jr., Taytum, Trent, Ronin, Rayleen, Tyce, Roseanna and Tevin, her great grandchildren Shya, Nevae, Arlo, Heaven-Leigh, Jaymen Jr. and Aliehra and many aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, too many to mention.

Marie was an only child but considered her first cousins as her brothers and sisters. She was also a residential school survivor.

Marie loved being with her grandchildren, going to pow-wows, bingo, blueberry picking and working at the camp.

She was a caregiver to many foster kids. She loved when family and friends would come to visit. Marie was a loving, wonderful, beautiful, caring woman. She always helped others out when needed. Everyone will miss her warm hugs, kisses, her smile, her laugh and her famous cooking.

We would like to thank the Lake of the Woods District Hospital and the Thunder Bay Regional Hospital Sciences Centre for all their help and assistance with our mother.

Wake Service will be held on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at the Norman Community Hall.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 21, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Norman Community Hall with Elder Langford Ogemah officiating. Interment to follow at the Lake of the Woods Cemetery.
