Marina Meeks

On March 29th, Marina passed away peacefully, in the comfort of her own home, with her family by her side after a rapid but courageous battle with cancer at the age of 63.

Marina is survived by her sons Jared (Amanda) and Jonathan (Jessica) along with her grandchildren (Brady, Isabelle, Aubrey, Jack and Holly). Her siblings Nellie (Bill), Doris (Clint), Marie (Al), Steve & Darwin (Leilani). Nieces and Nephews (Brian, Erin, Carling, Jeremy, Sarah, Colin, Devon, Claire, Daulton, Chloe, Trista, Hayden, Charlotte and Quinn. She is predeceased by the love of her life, Judson, and her parents Jessie and Louis Tetreault.

Marina was born in Baudette, Minnesota on August 5, 1956. She was raised in Rainy River, ON where she met Jud. They settled in Kenora, December 1992. She worked at CIBC where she met many of her lifelong friends. Marina enjoyed, sewing, knitting, painting, travelling, yoga and reading on her deck but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren whom she loved dearly.

A celebration of life will take place at a later date due to the current circumstances. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lake of Woods Hospital foundation where Marina was able to receive treatment locally. We would like to thank all the people who helped to care for Marina over the past 6 months.
