October 28, 1982 - February 21, 2010
Mistie Morriseau, a resident of Kenora, Ontario, passed away on February 21, 2010 at her residence. Mistie was born October 28, 1982 in Edmonton, Alberta and was 27 years of age.
She was predeceased by her grandparents William and Dorothy Morriseau, William and Elsie Chalifoux, uncle John Chalifoux, auntie Shirley Chalifoux, auntie Jo-Ann Morriseau and auntie Deanna Dejarlais.
Mistie loved being a mother to Phoenix and spending time with and spoiling her many nieces and nephews. She enjoyed listening to all kinds of music while driving her car whether on a long road trip or with all her girls in tow for visiting.
She also enjoyed having all her family and friends over for big dinners that she lovingly cooked for all of us (we’ve all had her famous hamburger soup). She loved getting all dressed up and going out with her best friends for a night out on the town to take over the dance floor, paying tribute to her favourite artists like Patsy Cline for a karaoke night.
Mistie also loved watching movies, some of her faves being Dirty Dancing and Cry Baby, and last but not least she loved the great outdoors, camping, fishing, tubing, dirt biking and quadding, swimming and boating.
She is survived by her son Phoenix Rayne Freedom Morriseau, her parents Larry and Millie Morriseau, her siblings: Ron (Jody) Morriseau, Melodie Jamerson, Harley (Cheyenne), Jamerson, Desiree (Joe) Morriseau, Candice Morriseau, Curtis (Michelle) Morriseau, Charissa (Brooke) Leddy, Tanya Leddy and numerous friends, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Mistie’s Life will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2010 at 8:00 a.m. at 86 Dalles Road with Elder Willie McGinnis officiating.
