Nancy Fobister

(October 02, 1938 – June 05, 2011)

Nancy Fobister born in Dalles, Ontario. She resided at the Elder’s Complex in Grassy Narrows, Ontario since February 2008 after the passing of her eldest brother Francis Strong.

She is survived by her husband Andrew Fobister of 56 years, children Victoria Fobister (Peter L. Beardy), Roland Fobister, Terry Fobister (Alice Kejick), Marcia Fobister (Clarance Assin), Eric Fobister,. Pamela Fobister, grandchildren Michael, Bobbie Nadine, Thea Pahpasay, Roxanne, Candice, Jasmine, Lyndsy, Travis & Shaylane, Nathan Beardy, Warren Ashopenace, Olivia, Trevor, Jacqlun (Dennis Crawford), Noel, Dillion, Evan and Lucianna, Leon, (Amaru) Colten, Andrew, Amber and Shirley Keewatin, Stanley, Mary Rose & family.

She is predeceased by Marilyn Fobister.

There are many grandchildren, great grandchildren, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends that are too many to mention.

The Strong lineage: Nancy is predeceased by her parents, Harriet & Paddy Strong, her siblings; Francis, William, Louis, Joseph (Spike), Martha, Annie, Mary.

Nancy is survived by her sister Louise.

Nancy worked at Grassy Narrows daycare in 1978 for a year. She loves her solitary card game, plays radio bingo, reading, watches her favourite programs on TV, documentaries, mystery and cartoons. She has lots of stories to tell and had a sense of humour.

The Fobister’s, Strong’s and Evelyn Pahpasay and her family are welcoming anyone who may want to pay their respects.

Nancy’s Wake will be held at Agnes’ Church in Grassy Narrows, Ontario, June 8-9, 2011 and the funeral will be held held June 10, 2011 @ 11:00 a.m.
