Reuben Bear

It is with deep and profound sadness we announce the sudden passing of our little brother Reuben Edward Bear aka Roo, Ruby Rod and Razzle Dazzle. We was a father, husband, brother, uncle, cousin and friend and grandpa (his nieces and nephew children).

He leaves to mourn his beloved wife Alee and his children, Jackson and Hayden. His siblings Barney (Anne), Harvey (Linda), Wendy (John Paul), Gretchen (Rocky), Mike (Jen), Priscilla (Chuck), Charlene (Floyd), Rene, Bertha (Joe) Mel (Adrian) and Vince aka BI who always said his big bro (Laura). His Silver Shadow band mates, Boi, Jamal, Oscar and Caleb. His father in law Steve who called him his son. He also called Doris Hunter his mom he said. His best friends he always talked with Jones (Elly) and James aka Billy Bob (Christina). Aunty Betsy, aunt Harriet, aunt Louise, uncle Joe, cousin Val and numerous relatives and friends too many to mention.

His nephews and nieces; Shawna, Jade, Chloe, Storm, Deana, Dylana, Dorrisa, Dlyan, Kyle, Rochelle, Rocki, Alyssa, Celeste, Brennan, Dallas, Bryce, Lauran, Freedom, Wynter, Kyra, Kayla, Kendra and Klayton, great nieces and nephews Zinnia, Kemper, Leonandre, Gwen, Kalo, Jrue, Renley, Ryland, Jerome, Justice, Kobi, Kaylie, Kyra, Taylee, Liam, Emmy, Reiden, Hayden, Madison, Dylan, Blake. One great-great nephew, Kai.

Roo’s passions were playing hockey, that’s razzle dazzle for u, strumming the guitar, singing and watching Family Feud. He truly had great love for his children and family. He was very close with our father the late John Hunter, he was always with him as a child. There were time he be sitting outside with his brother in law having long talks and times with his sister Char reminiscing of our father. He loved to ask his niece to say, Emma, Emma, EMMA! His Jackie will sing with him or ask him to freestyle. He’ll be deeply be missed.

He’s predeceased by his parents, John Hunter and Rachel Bear, grandparents George and Lucy Hunter brothers Rusty, Alvin and Lanny. Uncles Jim Bear, Auntie Teewish, Norman Hunter, his uncles David and Norman, Frank and Guy Hunter, auntie’s Doreen and Sarah, cousins Kaylon, Tyrone, Kevin, Rodney, Lester, Alvin, Harold, his mother-in-law Vanessa Kelly.

Wake will by held at Mizhakiiwentung Memorial School, Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at 9:00am. Funeral the next day at 2:00pm. Cremation to follow.
